I read an article on the internet which says that sugar free black tea is good for teeth because it kills the bacteria that cause plaque. Is it true? I am wearing braces and have gum recession and black triangles problem. I take one cup of sugar free tea once in 24 hours.

Braces Problem??

Posted on September 8, 2010

I have had braces for close to 3 years now and I was wondering...I brush my teeth pretty good and i floss ( or i will try to floss the best i can). Since you are not allowed to use whitening toothpaste while wearing braces, if you had/have braces, what did you use to brush your teeth?? What did you use or do to keep icky stuff from sticking to the back of your teeth..I have some plaque on the back of my front bottom teeth and I was wondering how can i get rid of it?? I know alot of it wont come off unless i go to the dentist which i go to on the 25th of July..what can i do to keep my teeth clean and plaque free??

Braces problems. Help please, getting white spots on teeth.?

My little sister has been wearing braces for about a year and a half now and she's to be getting them off soon.

However, she recently confessed to me that she doesn't brush her teeth nearly as much as she should have (not even every day!), and never used the fluoride rinse her orthodontist gave her, or flossed.

Now that she's getting them off soon she wants to try to reverse the damage she's done. Shes been brushing twice a day with whitening toothpaste and using the fluoride. Is this even possible for her to reverse the damage? What else can she do?
Thanks.

Best ways to get rid of gingivitis?

Posted on July 21, 2010

I have a slight lining of red gingivitis along some of my teeth, what are some good ways to help get rid of it quicker along with daily brushing and flossing?

Like, maybe special mouth washes, or whatever. (:
Figure I'll add I'm wearing braces. Hence the difficulty with everything dental, so hush hush on the 'disgusting' comment. (: (they'll be off in a month, thank goodness.)
