Posted on May 1, 2011

I've had canker sores over 100 times in my life. Every time I take prednisone, my canker sores are gone in 2 days. Yes, its prescription. Anyone know of a medication that makes it heal faster? If not, please tell people that you know that get canker sores alot that prednizone works. I'll even leave my email if you have any questions: emailpainter@gmail.com
I suffered alot until I found something that works, and from what I found out, most Docs don't know about predizone.

Parody: Dental Care by Owl City (Music Video)

Posted on February 16, 2011

BLOOPERS! www.youtube.com Buy The "Dental Care by Owl City" MP3! Amazon- bit.ly iTunes- bit.ly Lyrics- I brush my teeth And look in the mirror And laugh out loud As I'm beaming from ear to ear I'd rather pick flowers Instead of fight And rather than flaunt my style I'd flash you a smile Of clean pearly whites I've been to the dentist A thousand times, so I know the drill I smooth my hair, sit back in the chair But somehow I still get the chills Have a seat He says pleasantly As he shakes my hand And practically laughs at me Open up nice and wide He says, peering in And with a smirk he says, "Don't have a fit, this'll just pinch a bit" As he tries not to grin When hygienists leave on long vacations That's when dentists scream and lose their patience Talking only brings the toothaches on Because I say the stupidest things So if my resolve goes south I'll swallow my pride with an aspirin And shut my mouth Golf and alcohol don't mix And that's why I don't drink and drive Because, good grief, I'd knock out my teeth And hafta kiss my smile goodbye I've been to the dentist A thousand times, so I know the drill I smooth my hair, sit back in the chair But somehow I still get the chills

What are the health benefits of eating peanut butter?

Posted on February 10, 2011

I'm looking for sources, excluding Wikipedia, that describe the health benefits of eating peanut butter. It would be nice if the facts were specific to crunchy peanut butter, but it isn't necessary. Peanut butter benefits compared to other popular foods would be awesome. Thanks!

I think I might have Gingivitis?

Posted on January 14, 2011

I'm not really sure, but my lower gums bleed a little bit at the front when I brush, even when it isn't too hard. My friend who's 12 like me went to the dentist today and she was told she has gum disease. I'm really scared cos I might have gingivitis... I looked on Wikipedia and it said the symptoms of gingivitis are:

Swollen gums
Mouth sores
Bright-red, or purple gums
Shiny gums
Swollen gums that emit pus
Severe oral odor
Gums that are painless, except when pressure is applied
Gums that bleed easily, even with gentle brushing, and especially when flossing.
Gums that itch with varying degrees of severity.

But I only have bleeding gums and it's only by a couple of my teeth, help please, I'm only 12 and I'm really scared!!

Who's idea and why somebody started to add fluoride to the toothpaste in 1914 ?

Posted on July 22, 2010

Fluoride was first added to toothpastes in 1914 - says wikipedia but it says also that "On August 1, 1960, the ADA reported that "Crest has been shown to be an effective anticavity (decay preventative) dentifrice that can be of significant value when used in a conscientiously applied program of oral hygiene and regular professional care."" And since, moderne science doesn't support that it's working for adults teeth (only for children it's been proofed) SO WHY it was added to toothpastes 56 years before it was proofed to have any "good" effect ?? And why history does not tell who's idea it was originally to start adding fluoride to the toothpaste in 1914 ?? And further more, what was this mysterious person's profession, job, occupation and motivation to get through his agenda about adding fluoride to the toothpaste. "Everybody" is using it twice a day but nowhere is to be seen the real original why.

Does Cranberry Juice really prevent tooth decay?

Posted on July 15, 2010

Cranberry juice contains a chemical component, a high molecular weight non-dializable material (NDM), as noted above, that is able to inhibit and even reverse the formation of plaque by Streptococcus mutans pathogens that cause tooth decay - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cranberry
