Sore/Slightly Puffy gums around wisdom tooth and under/side of tongue sore?

Posted on May 9, 2011

Hi, so I really like to take care of my teeth. Brush 3 times a day since Im home-schooled, fluoride when needed, flossing. Dentists visits all that. But I just noticed within the last day or so that the left side of my mouth was sore on the inside of my gums closest to my tongue towards the back. At first I thought it was a bump on the side of my tongue, then I thought it was from something I ate that scraped my gum because it feels like it's scratched but upon some inspection with my(clean) fingers and a flashlight and mirror, that the area where my wisdom teeth are supposed to come in was slightly puffy and it's sore if I sort of press my tongue or finger back there. Now the very back, bottom side of my tongue is sore too. What's going on? I told my mom and she just said to take some ibuprofen and put some oral spray stuff to numb it if it hurt too bad. But I'm concerned because I'm a worry wart. I'm almost 16 btw and my other wisdom tooth/side of mouth is just fine. And I have no other health issues. I'm on a Birth Control Pill(trinessa) for acne/the benefits and I take an oral antibiotic for acne. But other than that I'm healthy and have had no problems like this before. Please help, it hurts pretty badly when I eat .___.

HELP!!! How can you cure bad breath??!! I need a cheap cure for bad breath that is likely due to a cavity.?

Posted on February 28, 2011

I think I have a cavity, or maybe my wisdom tooth is messed up, because my husband says that I taste gross when he kisses me, and every now and then, I get stinky breath. I brush and floss, but I have always needed a lot of dental care because of acidic saliva, and apparently my two years without seeing a dentist are taking their toll. I need a quick fix for my breath, because my dental insurance won't be in place until at least a month, and then it still might be too expensive... Any one know of any really good breath cures or mouth washes or ANYTHING??? I am desperate. I really miss being kissed good.

Why does my breath smell nasty in between brushing my teeth?

Posted on February 1, 2011

especially in the morning.. It is absolutely disgusting. I can sense near the back of my throat it feels gross and kinda sticky in a way. Just this nasty feeling, it didn't used to be that bad til fairly recent. I just noticed that lately it's gotten worse. Is there anything wrong, should I be concerned? I have a wisdom tooth that's partially erupted & wonder if maybe it's infected & causing the bad breath..? Thanks for input.

Dentist says I have gingivitis?

Posted on January 10, 2011

I went to the dentist today for follow up after having my wisdom tooth removed. After an examination they said that i had gingivitis!! I'm freaking out now. I have to wait two weeks to get the first half of my mouth "deep cleaned" and then another two weeks for the other side to be cleaned. I am really worried. I have never had a problem with my teeth and suddendly i have gingivitis? I have no cavities and have always told my teeth were nice, so i dont understand. Plus i dont have any pain in my gums, they do tend to bleed when i brush now and again, but i didn't think it was a big deal. Am i freaking out over nothing? Can this be controlled or will my teeth fall out?? I am going to floss every morning and night now relentlessly until the day i die!!

Can Gingivitis cause swollen lymph node is my neck?

Posted on January 9, 2011

I noticed my left neck lymph nodes is swelling 2 days ago... I thought that I was just getting fat but I noticed that the my left neck is more bulged than the right one... My wisdom tooth has a cavity more than a year, my other teeth also have tooth decays and I also have a gingivitis... Can Gingivitis cause my lymph node in my neck swollen?

I already got my HIV 1/2 Abbott Determine test last sat and my last exposure was April. And it turned out negative. Am I still in danger of having HIV? Is the reason why my lymph node swell because of it?

By the I'm also taking medication due to my kidney stone... Thanks in advance... ;(

How can i prevent/reduce gingivitis… i stopped flossing for 2 months =(?

Posted on January 4, 2011

it has been a year since i have been to the dentist. had my wisdom tooth taken out (3 of them)
i was told i was borderline for gingivitis so after that i have been flossing everyday and brushing 2 times a day. January i started my spring semester for college and it has been the most busiest semester yet...i have been having daily work everyday and papers/studying to do daily that my whole routine changed when i flossed and brush at night because i get so overworked i end up falling asleep and find flossing really time consuming... i still brush my teeth though 2x daily.

I kind of want to start reducing gingivitis again because i feel as if it is coming back because when i flossed today after 2 months and they are bleeding again...

What is the best way to reduce gingivitis ... ?
