How can i prevent/reduce gingivitis… i stopped flossing for 2 months =(?
it has been a year since i have been to the dentist. had my wisdom tooth taken out (3 of them)
i was told i was borderline for gingivitis so after that i have been flossing everyday and brushing 2 times a day. January i started my spring semester for college and it has been the most busiest semester yet...i have been having daily work everyday and papers/studying to do daily that my whole routine changed when i flossed and brush at night because i get so overworked i end up falling asleep and find flossing really time consuming... i still brush my teeth though 2x daily.
I kind of want to start reducing gingivitis again because i feel as if it is coming back because when i flossed today after 2 months and they are bleeding again...
What is the best way to reduce gingivitis ... ?
Brushing after using a salt water rinse?
I was wondering if I have to brush my teeth after using a salt water rinse. I have some swollen gums around my bottom right wisdom tooth (getting it pulled in two weeks), and I went to the dentist today. She prescribed me some pain medication, gave me a syringe, and advised me to use a salt water solution to kill bacteria.
Is it okay to floss, brush, and then use the salt water solution? Are there any detrimental effects from leaving salt on my teeth after rinsing?
How can I dislodge a popcorn kernel from under a tooth?
Help! I have a popcorn kernel stuck inside the gumline between my top wisdom tooth and molar. I've tried flossing until I bleed, but can't dislodge it. Its driving me crazy! Any suggestions?
I think one of my wisdom teeth is tryin to come thru but?
there is no possible way another tooth could fit in my mouth..the gum behind my last tooth back there is very tender and swollen..it hurts to open my mouth all the way..Does this sound like a wisdom tooth? I can only go to my community oral health clinic and they do not make appts until you are seen as an emergency which is very hard to get into..will it just go away ?
i understand i should be able to get in as an er patient but not in my town..i called yesterday planning on coming today and she told me they open at 730 and ill be lucky if im seen today because they only had one dentist. its a BS situation because im sitting here in major pain..
Bleeding Gum and wisdom teeth?
Ok, so the bottom right of my mouth has a wisdom tooth partially through , however tonight i tasted something slightly metalic and a small pain in the gum slightly in front between molar 1 and 2. I checked in the mirror and there was quite a bit of blood, upon applying pressure between molars 1 and 2 an almost plaque like substance came out along with quite a bit of blood. I was worrying about loosing my teeth over this, i keep healthy and my mouth hygeine in general is very good i've never had this issue before.
Just for further note it occured inbetween the two teeth in front of the wisdom tooth and was on the gum line.
Infection of some sort? Help?
I've had a rough past few weeks.. It started out with a waking up with a nauseous feeling on morning and then developed into a fever, night sweats and sore throat with very light cough over the next few days along with swollen right lymph node (I've always had swollen lymph nodes my whole life but my right one got bigger then got smaller as the days past). A few days after than my whole mouth got a really bad infection called (Acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis (ANUG)) which my dentist diagnosed me with and had a professional teeth cleaning done that cleared up the problem in the next few days (said it was caused by bad oral health hygiene and stress.... I had finals coming up)... So anyways, by this time the sore throat, fever and stuff were gone and it was just this mouth infection that hurt like hell. I've since been brushing my teeth very regularly with mouthwash and they still bleed occasionally (they bled a lot during the anug of course) mostly because of a wisdom tooth coming in is why they are bleeding now (I get those out next week). But over the past few days I've had the urge to "clear my throat" and when I attempt to I spit up small amounts of blood that seem to be coming from my throat and I really have no idea whats causing it, my guess is something related to the infection got into my throat and has not healed yet (I'm currently taking penicillin), I'm curious what I might have and some suggestions would be helpful... I'm 19, always been healthy, no health problems/surgeries, not ever weight, ect...
