What could be causing my lower left side back pain?

Posted on December 5, 2010

I have been in severe, crippling lower left side back pain for over a month now. The pain killers aren't working, I can't bend over to do anything without being in pain, and the xray revealed nothing. I can't sit in my chair at work without being in pain. I have done NOTHING to injury my back. What are some possible things that could be causing my crippling lower back pain? Thanks.

Need advice on a dental issue?

Posted on November 28, 2010

Hi all,

I have an issue with my lower front tooth incisor. It's tiny bit mobile with root exposure. I'm 23 years old and went to the denist yesterday for my 6 month check up and cleaning.

My hygienist told my I do an excellent job of flossing/brushing as there is hardly any plaque or tartar on/in mymouth. But I asked her to check on this incisor as I could feel something just wasn't right.

She toot an xray and did an examination and said it was indeed SLIGHTLY mobile and the xray showed a little bit of bone loss. She said I DIDNT have periodontal d or gingivitis. She said if I were 50 she wouldn't even cosider referring me to a periodontist but since im only 23 it's odd.

So she gave me the card to a local specialist and than my dentist came in and the hygienist told my dentist about this sistuation he looked at the xray and sounded a little annoyed with her and proceeded to tell me this is just because I have short roots. My question is........ I do not have the best dental insurance it wll not cover specialist. If I wait 6 months to consult with this specialist about this tooth is the thing going to fall out of my mouth LOL? Help!

Anyone ever have chronic hip pain for a year and rolfing be the thing to cure the pain?

I have bad pain in my hip from a traumatic blow to the area when I fell on ice. I've had pain since last July. Xray normal, MRI normal. Few pain killers work, only vicadin and tramadol. I'm considering rolfing, I don't know what else to do.

Can I reverse this minor decay in my tooth?

Posted on September 3, 2010

I had my regular checkup yesterday, and as the hygenist was checking for cavities, she found one spot that she thought was just barely sticking, indicating that it could be decay. She wasn't sure, and said that it could just be sticking in the groove a bit. Also nothing showed up on the xray that was just taken. The dentist then looked at it and decided that it should be filled "just to be safe," and that it is a "very small spot."

I've been researching a bit, and it sounds like there is a chance that the decay could be reversed by using flouride as long as it isn't past the enamel. Judging by what they had to say, I'm guessing this isn't past the enamel. Would the explorer (pokey metal thing) actually stick in the tooth if the decay is only in the enamel? It just barely stuck at all.

I'm a little fussy about this, since I haven't had a new filling in probably 15 years (had an old one redone recently) and brush and floss religiously. I really don't want another filling.

Dentist said my broken tooth could be filled a month later. Its yellow where it broke off. b/c of no enamel?

Posted on August 22, 2010

I was wondering if my tooth is really yellow on the inside of where it broke off because it has no enamel (protection) like the outside of all my other teeth. The whole tooth is not yellow, just the center of where it is broken. The dentist said i could wait a month and still get it filled while i wait to save for the procedure. I just want to make sure that i can get this taken care of next week and not need to pay for another Xray and find out it needs to be extracted. D:
Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks. :)
