    Troyce

  2. This is a great and historic video. The profound depth aspects of Tai Chi are made available to beginners using best teaching principles combined with Dr. Lam’s world class Tai Chi. The care and and appreciation for the student are evident in every aspect of the production.

  3. I used to have arthritis pain all throughout my body, had pain for years and years, not until a friend of mine told me about an all natural, little known protein, did my pain go away.

  4. You believe in this??????Open your eyes!

  5. @TaichiTalk – I don’t understand. What’s wrong with this video?

  6. Go to China and ask any taichi masters or trained and certified by the Wushu/taichi federation, he or she will tell you all these VCds are produced and so modified for the purpose of commercailly selling them .Traditional forms of taichi originated in Great China villages e.g Chen village, WudangShan etc., should not have moves/thong chor that are taken from here and there i.e. from Yang,Sun, Wu…by doing all these it will certainly distort the the right flow of chi in the body……..con’t

  7. Taichi has long been practiced in mnay parts of Great China and passed down down many generations.New Age taichi introduced or so modified by some half baked or untrained so called “laozhi”s have mad esome of these forms of taichi becomes so artificial and tasteless! This is definitely not taichi. You just hav eto pay some money to any research body or company and get them to endorse your product.Don’t be a fool, just buy some good VCds on the various forms of taichi and watch and learn………

  8. and to help you to achieve the correct moves been taught to yo by your taichi teacher.Just ask any trained/certified taihci masters or teachers from China he will tell you just do your daily routine Taichi style, your favourite e.g.YangShi42 quan or Chen Shi72..this will do.No need to do I msut do the moves that can help me in my diabetes etc., It’s all rubbish and buying such modified VCds will not help you in anything good.

  9. @TaichiTalk – I’m sorry, but that doesn’t make sense. You’re saying that the adaptation of Tai Chi for people with a particular disability isn’t right, and that any deviation from the traditional forms is inappropriate. Do you mean to tell me that a wheelchair user – unable to take any steps – should not, indeed could not, learn Tai Chi? What of a person with one arm? And aren’t Sun, Yang, and Wu styles adaptations of the original Chen style? By your argument, all but Chen should be banned!

  10. @spawnofthewinds The point of this DVD is to address the limitations imposed by arthritic conditions. Those who use this method can, with time, enjoy increased strength, flexibility, balance and motion which, should they choose, can be a stepping-stone towards learning a full traditional form when they are ready. I understand that this is not ‘traditional’ Tai Chi, with it’s advanced forms and discipline but, when you think about it, it doesn’t claim to be.

  11. I do not thibk it will do any good for any person with some form of disability to do/practice Taichi.U are talking to one that has learn and acquire full martail arts kung fu and taichi in China.I am trained in Wudang Shan in most forms of kung fu and taichi.I do not think with all these adaptations and modifications works. Why don’t he tried getting any endorsement of all his DVDs from a well known taichi master in Beijing University. Also, if he thinks his products is good then…

  12. then he should get an endorsement from a well known taichi master from the China Federation of Wushu and Taichi & Martial Arts.

  13. @TaichiTalk – (part 1) What do you mean “I do not think with all these adaptations and modifications works”? WHAT doesn’t work? The people who suffer from arthritis who do this programme can testify to how well it works in relieving pain, in improving flexibility and in increasing balance and movement. It may not work in terms of the practitioner learning a traditional form of Tai chi, but for what it’s intended to do, it works! And why does he need an endorsment from another Tai Chi master?…

  14. @TaichiTalk – (part 2) He has practised Tai Chi for over 30 years, enough time for him to be credited with a little ability. In creating this programme, Dr Lam not only employed his own experience and expertise as a Tai Chi practiotioner, as a physician, and as an arthritis sufferer, he also consulted with other Tai Chi masters as well as medical professionals and arthritis foundations, along with extensive testing of the programme with arthritis sufferers to calculate the safest and most…

  15. It’s simple as that if he thinks his Cds &DVDs on the various taichi froms works well for the various diseases, the getting them sighted and endorsed by the origins source of taichi , obviosuly the taichi masters in China! I beg they won’t want even to see the videos!they will say just buy , watch and learn from a certified taichi laozhi vcds or dvds on the various taichi forms be it, yang zhi , chen zhi.If u do a particular style, practice and perfrom the whole duration of the various …

  16. @TaichiTalk – (part 3) beneficial programme possible. I don’t doubt that you are well experienced and highly trained in the martial arts, but I think perhaps the extent of your training has given you an elitist viewpoint. You say that modifications or adaptations of the traditional forms is wrong and that this programme will have an adverse effect on a practitioner’s Chi; but remember, Yang style, Wu style, Wu stlye, and Sun style ALL adapted and modified from Chen style…

  17. style and mastered the style well before going for another style.Doing taichi with very short duration of just less than 8 movements does;nt help in generating enough Chi flow in your body! Thus, too much variations and modifications is absolutely waste of time and energy if one will to follow. Why is he only concentrating his selling of his Cds & DVDs only in countries in Australia, Canada.Try China, Hongkong,&Taiwan and see what happen?OK plse don’t watse too much of my time on this !

  18. @TaichiTalk – (part 4) If modification and adaptation of a Tai Chi style is wrong, then Yng, Wu, Wu, and Sun style should be prohibited, yes? Of course not. As far as the ‘dangers’ of incorrect form on the practitioner’s Chi, Tai Chi is only about 400 years old. People existed quite happily for thousands upon thousands of years before Tai Chi was invented, without any problems. A bit of stretching, stepping, and waving hands around is hardly likely to cause anyone’s head to explode…

  19. @TaichiTalk – (part 5) What the programme does do is take some of the principles within Tai Chi and apply them to an exercise programme for people with arthritic conditions. Change, adaptation, modification and alteration are part of life. Nothing alive stays the same. Rigidity, inflexibility, and unwillingness to move or change position go against the very basic principles of Tai Chi. Embrace the new, while continuing to learn from the old…

  20. @TaichiTalk – (part 6) If no-one ever allowed change to occur, if everyone dismissed and vilified the new, Tai Chi itself would not exist. When it was invented, it was new and regarded with suspicion. When Yang Lu-Ch’an learnt and adapted Chen style, That was a break from ‘tradition’. The evolution of Tai Chi continued then as it continues today. Adaptation and modification are everywhere; to attempt to halt change is to stand on the sea shore and command the tide not to approach – futile.

  21. If all thinks its perfect in all these Cds and DVDs, try selling these in any cities in China and see what kind of response , in sell, in criticisms from teachers, masters etc., i beg u won’t dare to enter the Chinese market with all your items. It ecratinly will be thrown out, You can only breeze through the Aussie market well.they have learn much about China traditional taichi and kung fu.So it is much easy to sell anything in this market.Wudang kungfu and taichi and martail arts have enter ..

  22. try USA market…all your videos will be therown out by the aggressive and reknown Wudang and Shaolin masters there.

  23. they are all salesmen from performersetc., , researchers, supporters, etc., selling their Vcds.Don’t be a fool !

  24. Alah mak! read more see more and ask those who have learnt taichi from a well known master in China, they will advise you ……lots of qestions???????don’t be a fool!

  25. i like this! this is good for beginners. its really slow, and will be good for me to learn as a nurse. i can teach many people these simple steps! thanks!
