What can I do about enamel loss?

Posted on July 13, 2010

I am 26 years old and I am having a huge problem with enamel loss on my teeth. My Dentist gave me fluoride gel, but is there anyting else? Is there some radical new procedure out there to repair my teeth? Just to give you a quick history, I have had a couple of cavities in my life, then out of nowhere a few years back, i had 2 to 3 cavities on each tooth. My Dentist and Doctor speculate it was due to severe acid reflux that went untreated. Basically all night long my stomach acids were eating my teeth away. I will do anything to save them now! Is it too late? Am I going to be 30 years old with dentures?

  1. MAYBE YOU COULD GET CAPS OR PORCELAIN VENEERS FOR YOUR TEETH BUT THEY ARE QUITE EXPENSIVE!!

  2. just pray

  3. What can you do about enamel loss ? Grieve.

  4. There are fluoride rinses, too, such as "ACT" Just because your enamel is getting thin doesn’t mean you have decay. Your teeth will probably look a little more yellow because of the dentin showing through. The acid in soda can eat away enamel. If you do drink it, wait a while before brushing your teeth because the abrasiveness of the toothbrush can assist the soda in the erosion of the enamel process. You can crown all your teeth at a great expense, but why?
