What is the best tooth brush to get?

I want to take great care of my teeth. What is the best type of tooth brush I should get? I'm thinking one of those electric sonic tooth brushes. Which one gets rid of the most tarter and plaque?

    -Electric sonic is good. Anything from a drug store is great. Do not use dollar store ones.
