pretty obviously, she could wear deodorant and brush her teeth more often… if that doesn’t work she could bring chewing gum around, and a small bottle of perfume?
September 10th, 2010 - 08:21
If mouth wash and over the counter deodorant is not solving the problem then she probably needs to see a doctor about it.

sometimes it has to do with diet. I would try getting her to eat a plainer diet and drink more water to see if that helps.
Can you please help me with my question

If showering and brushing her teeth doesn’t work then it may be heredity and could be something you should have her doctor aware of..bad breath is caused by other factors than just not brushing etc. same with body odor..

tell her to brush her teeth regularly and deodorise.

Both of these have easy solutions. Make sure your sister brushes not only her teeth but her toung. And make sure for body odor she’s using not only deoderant but anti-perspirant. If she’s still having problems you can acctually get prescription tooth paste and deoderant from a doctor.

Everyone should rinse their mouths out with a 1.5% solution of hydrogen peroxide at least twice a day after brushing. This will get your mouth smelling good and kill all the bad germs from your mouth. don’t swallow it, spit it out after rinsing it between your teeth for at least 1 minute plus.
Don’t eat or drink anything for at least 10 mins after you do this since it stops the action of the H2o2
Now for body odor? Hair keeps bacteria on your body and it causes odor.
Is it only in her arm pits? If so have her shave those things and she can use Absorbine jr (found in your pharmacy) to disinfect the area then rinse it off in a few seconds to a minute in the shower. Rub it all over the area first. It works great.

Bad breath:
~ Better mouth cleaning techniques.
~ Pay special attention to the tongue. The tongue contains lots of bacteria, especially towards the back of the throat. You should scrub it clean each morning with a toothbrush until it’s nice and pink! (Don’t scrape of the surface and cause bleeding though!)
~ Clean the teeth towards the back of your mouth as well.
~ Invest in a good toothbrush and toothpaste.
~ Brush twice a day for nothing less than two minutes each time.
~ Eat less of things like garlic and onions. This causes extreme bad breath in some people.
It is important to remember that the mouth has lots of nooks and crannies. Getting all the bacteria out consistently keeps your teeth healthy and prevents bad breath.
Body odor:
Some people are genetically inclined to strong body odor. First try more than one shower a day (again, go for all nooks and crannies — armpits, behind ears, under breasts, and between legs) combined with antiperspirant. Secret’s line of invisible GELS are great!
If she tries more showers, a better deodorant, a nice perfume, and the body odor is not better, then she needs to see a doctor. Medication might be needed.
Also, certain foods can cause bad breath and strong body odor.

Body Mint deodorant tablets will help for both bad breath and body odor as they deodorize your body odors before they are secreted through your pores. They also deodorize the odors from your stomach that usually cause bad breath.
Body Mint deodorant tablets are a copper/sodium derivative of chlorophyll known as chlorophyllin and they will also promote a healthy digestive environment as well as boosting your energy level.

Not to be ugly or anything, but brushing your teeth at least twice a day and a daily bath does wonders. If it doesn’t she needs the help of a dentist and doctor to find out why.
September 10th, 2010 - 08:21
aside from the obvious brushing teeth and showering, she could try:
using a nasal flush… it cleans out the mucus in the sinuses

flossing her teeth twice a day
using a tongue scraper
mouthwash
also, this may sound strange but she should eat yogurt every day… it encourages the growth of "friendly" bacteria in the intestinal and vaginal tracts and therefore will suppress the "bad" bacteria, resulting in a "fresher" smell.

The bad breath is called halitosis.
The condition that causes body odor is called trimethilmanuria short TMAU.
Probiotics might help with the odor.
VSL#3 is a strong medical probiotic.

Your sister can try various cures to help her with the bad breath.
You should be brushing after every meal, roughly three times per day for at least two minutes at a time. You should be using floss after every meal, and use mouthwash and a tongue scraper at least twice each day. Pay attention to what kinds of foods that you are eating. Also, do you have problems with dry mouth? Dry mouth and post nasal drip can cause bad breath, so keep hydrated.
Underlying health conditions like diabetes can cause bad breath.
As for body odor, I would have her check with a doctor to see if there is any underlying condition causing problems. She could also have a fast metabolism and need to clean more often than the average person.
