  1. you might just have sensitive gums

  2. You probably were’nt brushing well enough before.
It’s most likely gingivitis which is a serious condition.
Continue brushing your teeth regardless of if they bleed or not because you want to get it controlled. It will eventually stop.
But gingivitis is a leading cause of heart disease, and we don’t want that.

  3. Make sure your brush is a softer one. But you sound like you have some sort of gum disease. If it isn’t taken care of, you’re teeth could drop out.
I had the same problem, and sometimes still do.
Try corsodyl mouth wash, dentists recommend it. If your american, i don’t know if they sell it.
Its a month course, twice a day and kills germs.
Its foul and disgusting and your mouth will stay numb for an hour.
    It is a godsend.
If that don’t work, go to the dentist.

  4. You should ask your dentist about a mouth wash called Chlorhexadine. (Sorry, unsure if that’s the correct spelling!) I had bleeding and sensitive gums because there was tartar underneath the gums (where you wouldn’t be able to get at them just by brushing). I had a full mouth debridgement where she removed the tartar, then gave me the mouthwash. I went back to the dentist three weeks later and had no gum sensitivity or bleeding – it worked really well.

  5. I suggest you see a dentist immediately. They can advise you immediately if you are brushing too little or much, too hard or soft. And if you have something like gingivitis, it’s best you have it taken care of earlier than later: a coworker of mine hadn’t seen the dentist in years and had to have oral surgery done. It can be so easily avoided by getting handled right away.

If you are unable to afford going to the dentist, there may be programs in your city or state to help folks see one for no or low cost.

    I wish you the best.
